How much does it cost to turn diamonds to ashes?
The price for turning ashes to diamonds depends on the type of diamond you choose, including the size, color and cut.
A 0.03 - 0.09 carat orange-yellow brilliant-cut diamond only costs $750, while a 1 carat white brilliant-cut diamond costs $17,295. These are our cheapest and most expensive cremation diamonds. There are many different choices available which fall between the two.
Having such a wide variety of cremation diamonds to choose from guarantees you’ll find the perfect diamond which not only suits your budget, but is a wonderful representation of the person you want to remember, too.
Cremation costs vs funeral costs
Another reason cremation diamonds are a cost effective option is because cremations are much cheaper than burials. According to USA Today, a cremation costs around $2,200, while a burial costs approximately $6,500. That’s a sizable difference of $4,300.
By saving such a significant amount on the funeral, you could put the money toward creating a ¼ carat brilliant-cut white diamond and still have $1,300 left over for a beautiful jewelry setting.
Finance plans
To help make turning ashes to diamonds even more affordable for everyone, we offer flexible payment plans so you can spread the cost. In fact, Heart In Diamond is the only company which offers its clients the ability to make flexible payments over 24 months without incurring any additional costs in interest.
The standard payment plan for cremation diamonds involves putting down a 50% deposit, followed by a 50% final payment. But if you’d prefer to divide the costs into easy monthly payments, you can choose one of the following finance plans:
- 25% deposit + 6 equal monthly payments with 0% interest.
- 25% deposit + 12 equal monthly payments with 0% interest.
- 25% deposit + 24 equal monthly payments with 0% interest.
If your financial situation changes, you can complete payment in full before the end of your contract without any penalty.
How long does it take to turn diamonds to ashes?
At Heart In Diamond, we create memorial diamonds faster than any other company. The exact time it takes depends on the design of the diamond you choose, but your unique diamond will be delivered to you within 70 to 120 days after the creation process begins. While this might seem a long time to wait, it’s much faster than the billions of years it takes to create mined diamonds deep inside the Earth.
Although cremation diamonds are much faster to make than mined diamonds, they’re actually the same thing. Cremation diamonds and mined diamonds are identical in terms of chemical makeup and visual appearance. They both sparkle the same, are equally as long-lasting and are formed within high pressure, high temperature environments.
Making diamonds from cremated remains is a complex and specialist craft. After extracting pure carbon from the ashes sample, the conditions found miles below the Earth’s crust are replicated within a laboratory setting. Several weeks later, a beautiful rough diamond is created. After a little cutting and polishing, your one-of-a-kind memorial diamond is ready to be shipped to your door.
Turn your loved one’s ashes to diamonds for an ever-lasting keepsake
Making a one-of-a-kind diamond out of the ashes of your loved one is a wonderful way to hold onto their memory. Designing the diamond from scratch, choosing its colour, size and cut before selecting a beautiful jewelry setting to complement it is a helpful way to help you progress through the grieving process.
A notably affordable option for many people, especially when you compare the low cost of a cremation to the high price of a burial, making a unique cremation diamond can help you keep your loved one close to you in spirit, even if they can no longer be there in person.
