The cost of turning ashes into diamonds: A guide to what you might pay for a cremation diamond

Turning ashes to diamonds is a unique way to keep your deceased loved one close. Once people have that sparkling gem in their hands, they regularly report a sense of peace and satisfaction that helps to make their grief easier. And as they wear those memorial diamonds, they feel as if their loved one is comfortingly close.

However, because ashes are being turned into precious diamonds, some people worry that a funeral diamond is out of their reach. If natural diamonds are expensive, how much more costly must a one-of-a-kind memorial diamond be? The answer might surprise you.

Memorial diamonds might sound expensive, but the truth is that they usually cost less than a traditional funeral and burial. Sometimes, the cost of turning ashes to diamonds is actually the more affordable price.

Finding out that the ashes to diamond cost for your loved one will be in the low thousands of dollars might come as a shock. Yet, what many people fail to consider is the fact that a traditional funeral and burial usually costs much more. You can easily have your loved one cremated, have their ashes turned into a memorial diamond, and have it set within the jewelry of your choice, for as little as about $2,200-$9,000. A funeral and burial, however, typically costs $10,000 or more. Far from being a costly option, a memorial diamond can serve as an affordable and meaningful way to honor the one who has died. Read more example calculations for cremation diamonds here.

Our gems in particular cost less than any other cremation diamond types. These low prices make it easier for anyone who wants a cremation diamond to have one.

Lab-grown diamonds have always cost less than natural diamonds. In fact, they can cost up to 30 percent less than a natural diamond of the same size and quality. This means that the cremation business in general is capable of offering you precious gems for much less than you would pay for one taken directly from the Earth. And your diamond will be even more valuable, because it will be entirely unique, formed from the cremains of your deceased friend or family member.

Heart In Diamond, however, provides a cremation diamond cost that is significantly lower than any other company in the industry. Our secret? We own our production facilities. This means that we can offer you the lowest possible prices because we do not have to pay to have your loved one’s cremains sent out to another facility for processing.

Take, for example, the price of a half carat round blue funeral diamond. In some places, that gem would cost you almost $7,900. However, through us, you can get a gem of the same size for $7,785. With these kinds of cost savings, obtaining a precious memorial diamond is much more manageable even with a tight budget.

Are cremation diamonds cheap?

The price of any one of our diamonds depends on its size and color. These factors give you the flexibility to choose a gem that will fit both your budget and your need to honor your loved one.

The cost of the diamond you choose will depend upon two factors: The size and the color of the diamond. As a result, each of our memorial diamond options has a different cost estimation associated with it.

Size:

The larger your gem, the more it will cost. For example, a mini orange-yellow diamond of .03 carats will cost $750; a half-carat diamond of the same color will cost $5,445, and a one-carat diamond of the same color will cost $8,945.

Color:

The rates for your cremation diamond will also vary depending upon the color you select. White diamonds are most expensive, and orange-yellow diamonds are least expensive. Following is the relative cost of each color diamond, from most expensive to least expensive:

  • White

  • Blue

  • Red

  • Yellow-Green

  • Orange-Yellow

The result of these price differences is flexibility for you. You do not have to spend a certain amount of money if you wish to create a memorial diamond from your loved one’s ashes. Instead, you can choose a size and color that reflect both your budget and your loved one. The result is a diamond that serves as an affordable yet perfect remembrance of the beauty your loved one brought to the world.

Part of what makes our cremation diamond costs affordable is the payment plan we offer for most of our diamonds. By financing your diamond with regular monthly payments, you can more easily afford to remember your loved one in your preferred way.

In addition to offering the lowest price of ashes to diamonds in the industry, we also make it easy to afford the diamond you choose by allowing you to opt for an interest-free payment plan. Any diamonds over .03 carats are eligible for this payment plan. It works as follows:

  • Select your diamond.

  • Pay 25 percent of the value of the diamond up front.

  • Pay the rest of the cost over 12 or 24 months in equal monthly payments.

For example, a .10 carat orange-yellow diamond costs $1,995. However, you can put down a 25% deposit of $499 and then make 24 monthly payments of just $62. This plan makes cremation diamonds affordable for just about any budget, allowing you to focus on remembering your loved one instead of on the cost.

The price of your cremation diamond does not include the cost of any jewelry settings you choose. It does, however, include the entire process of transforming the cremains of your loved one from ashes into diamonds.

The cost of your cremation diamond will include the entire cremation diamond ordering and manufacturing process. Everything from the consultation with our experts to the cutting, polishing, and grading of your finished product will be included.

The only thing not covered by the price of your memorial diamond is the cost of any jewelry settings you choose to use with the diamond. Should you decide to memorialize your loved one by turning your diamond into a ring, necklace, or earring, you will pay an additional fee for the setting. However, we offer more than 500 jewelry settings from which you can choose. This wide array of choices again makes it possible to create the ideal memorial to a loved one on almost any budget.

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one and want a way of remembering them for the long-term, you cannot do better than to choose a cremation diamond from Heart In Diamond. If you want to know how cremation diamonds change people’s lives, get one for yourself and see how it can provide you with the comfort and closure you seek. While your diamond’s value will far exceed its monetary expense, our low prices, numerous options, and  flexible payment plan make obtaining that diamond easier and more affordable than ever before.
