How long does diamond creation take?
At Heart In Diamond, diamond production takes around 90 days from receipt of your material. Jewelry settings, independent certification and other optional services may add to the time before delivery.
In order to create a personal diamond, we extract carbon from the original sample (whether it’s hair, ashes or an alternative organic material) and use it to create the diamond core foundation. Shortly after, the foundation is placed in the HPHT (High-Pressure-High-Temperature) machine, which recreates the process of a natural diamond creation with the help of extreme temperatures of 3,632°F and pressure levels of 60,000 Atmospheres.
6 Steps of your diamond creation
Step 1
Order placement
The diamond creation process starts with requesting your Heart In Diamond Order Kit and placing your order. Once we process your details, we will issue your individual Heart In Diamond ID. Please feel free to use it to track the status of your order through our Track your Order page.

Step 2
Material analysis
Once your material arrives at the laboratory, it undergoes analysis before carbon extraction. We ask for at least 100 g (about 3.5 oz) of ashes or 2 g (about 0.07 oz) of hair, regardless of diamond size. Please contact us if you have less available.
Step 3
Diamond foundation formation
We extract the carbon from your sample and add it to the diamond growing foundation, out of which a unique crystalline matrix will grow, creating a personal diamond.
Step 4
Growing phase
The mixture is placed in the core of the HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) machine. This unique and complex machinery will recreate diamond-growing conditions, similar to those deep in the Earth’s crust: typical HPHT conditions are in excess of 2000℃ and 60,000 atmospheres. These conditions will be applied to grow your personal diamond.
Step 5
Cutting and polishing
Once the growing phase is completed, our specialists will polish and cut your diamond in accordance with industry standards and your preferences. You will get a diamond which sparkles without and within!
Step 6
Certification and delivery
After cutting and polishing, your diamond goes through quality control and grading. We issue a Certificate of Authenticity with the details of your diamond, then confirm your delivery address and arrange secure shipping.
