The Perfect Cut
11 April 2016 / Blog
One of the most important factors used to evaluate diamonds is cut. The term is not difficult to understand; however, it is important to understand that cut does not refer to the shape of a diamond. Rather, it refers to the subtle finish of a diamond. If a diamond is cut well, it will appear bright and luminous, with intense contrasts and a dazzling sparkle. A diamond with a sub-par cut, on the other hand, will appear darker and less brilliant. The grading system for diamond cuts is extremely simple–diamonds are ranked either excellent, very good, good, fair, or poor.
